today my mother and i went out with some ladies from church

movies- saw "The Secret Life of Bees" looovely movie...i love Dakota!
lunch- BJ's it's been so long sense i've been there..it was so tasty!
& walk at the lake to help digest the feast we had ..the weather was lovely today

while walking at the lake the women started to talk about their lives, how they related to the movie & to the times (1960's) ..of course i didn't have much input on the 60's but i was so intrigued that even if i had been there i wouldn't of had much to say..lol

i never knew what these women did for a living...i've only known them to be retired
i had an ex-lawyer, principal, real estate agent, and scientist in front of me
they each shared their struggles..even my mom revealed a few things that i never knew
things that make everything so much clearer...things that erased any resentment i had towards her

it's amazing how simple it is to underestimate the value of some of the people around you.
all this time i've had the answers right in front of my face, but i was too busy seeking out the negative to realize what jewels these women were

the majority of my friends that i hang out with on a regualar basis aren't quite established as i am and haven't even began to experience some the REAL hurt that life has to offer, so when they come to me with their problems it at times seems a little petty to me. of course i've always tried to give them the best advice i can, but it was starting to take a strain on me. i had no where to go with the problems of my own. seems like no one is ever interested in discussing the heavy stuff..no one can look me in my eye...they almost always immediately become interested in their nails, some spot in the sky, or start searching through their phones

...but...

today it felt great to be on the other side of the table. to be the one with what seemed to be the petty problems. to be around women who had been through what i've been through but worst. women who carried around burdens much heavier than i could ever phathom. i told them my story moment for moment, detail for detail...a story that i never thought i would be able to tell anyone. & had in some kind of weird way tucked it away..i had no longer seen it as my story..it had transformed in to my secret and i had been guarding it with my life from the rest of the world...i hid it so good that sometimes if i was lucky i would forget it even existed...but then there were those nights when it definitely came back to haunt me. nights when no one else was around and i had to face the truth. getting this off my chest was not only a special moment for me but for my mother as well because i had never told her the complete story either. it felt good to get this off my chest and not worry about being ashamed or judged, and i could see they felt my pain.

we sat at that bench for hours and cried, cried, cried.
but with each tear i shed...i felt my load getting lighter and lighter
i cried for them , i cried for me, and i cried because a piece of me wished that i could of done this along time ago...that i could have shared this moment with someone else
and just maybe everything would be different ...we would be where we're supposed to be

...but then i realized everything that was supposed to happen did
& i'm ready to take on whatever else the world has in store for me

yesterday, the only thing that i could do
to stop myself from thinking about what things could have been
was sleep

i literally slept the whole day
i woke up for about two hours to take care of somethings and eat
but went right back to sleep
it was no real escape my dreams just started to incorporate my thoughts
i had the same scenario playing in my head over and over

this morning
i woke up at in just enough time to see the sun come up
it was so refreshing
seeing the sunrise always reminds me that
a new day= a new beginning

i got up made some breakfast
and scribbled this in my journal
and decided to share it with you all here

I lie to everyone about everything, especially me.
I say I'm not tired when I am.
I say I'm hungry when I'm not.
I tell people what they wanna hear.
I never say what I'm actually feeling
I let the lies pile up like bricks on a wall.
Until I can't see out and no one else can see in.

I get people to do what I want them to do, but I go too far.

i've always been a visual person
and i guess no matter what i know in my mind
it never really sets in until i SEE it

i've always been a risk taker
99.9% of the time when people tell me
theres going to be a consequence (good or bad)
more than likely i'm the one testing them to see if their bluffing

the two together make a deadly combination

about a year ago
my sister & i took a late night trip to go pick my aunt
she lives about a hour & a half away
we were really sleepy so we decided to chat to stay awake
conversations with my sister barely hardly ever scratch the surface..
i talk to her as if i'm talking to a random person on the street

but this time..
things were different
we started to play the "remember when..." game
which led to her telling me about her past
and when she was finished she made a statement that sent chills down my spine

she told me that looking back on everything now made her realize something about herself (i wont go as far to say what it was)

i started to think how horrible she was

...BUT...

today i see that same thing in myself

how did i let things get this bad?
when did i loose control?
have i missed my last chance to fix it?

she just called me to tell me that she put my picture on her desk at work

& i thought about it & had to ask myself the same thing...lol...i cry but maybe not as often as most ppl..takes alot to get me to that level..like just simply a friend betraying me or heartbreak isn't gonna take me there...i think the wound needs to be alot deeper than that & i couldn't even remember the last time i cried...i've experienced so much death this year alone that it doesn't make me cry anymore..it hurts but i've found a better to deal with it

most of the time its not even that i don't want too..i can't! the tears just don't come to me
i feel the same pain ...just no tears

after i answered her she told me that she didn't think i ever cried..that i seem too guarded to ever let someone hurt me..she wished that she could be me for a day..so strong

today i went to the beach..well technically it was yesterday (8.22)
it was probably the best decision i've ever made
i snuck out of the house and left everyone behind
only to get to the beach and my brother is already there
hes not THAT big of a bother..so i didnt mind
he was too busy out in the water to be worried about me
so it ended up being just me and my ipod after all
...laying out in the sun listening to all my favs

after i got good and toasted & woke up from my nap...lmao
i went back and took a shower ..moms wanted to go shopping so we did
i didnt really get anything other than some bras & panties
whoa what an experience that was
then we went to this restaurant that had the hugest plates of food
& fried green tomatoes! i finally got some
..i've been on super crazy rampage looking for them

before today i was so ready to go back home
i realized that it was simply because i wasn't getting out
i was staying stuck in the house doing nothing but work, work, work!
i could do that at home!
so now im gonna stick it out and serve my whole sentence...lol
& not work myself to death

now this is where things get random
its 7:34am here
6:34am on the east coast
& 3:34am back at home
nooooooobody is up

i keep thinking of all these phone calls i need to make tomorrow
soooo many people i wanna talk to
you know my phone technically hasnt rang in like 2 days
all you people do is text or im me

yesterday i got into an argument...well not really an argument because i never really argue. it was more like a discussion about something that i never really wanted to talk about in the first place. i hate when people hit me up with bad intentions it strikes up a side of me that i really rather not share too often. a piece of me just wanted to go tit for tat with all the sarcastic remarks. and tell him exactly what it was didn't want to hear, but i didn't want to give him that satisfaction. during the conversation something was said that shouldn't have ever been said. not on my part, but his. & i'm sure he noticed because there was an awkward pause in the conversation. just enough time for him to think about what he had just said to me & wait for my reaction. i didn't react. atleast not in anyway that he could of noticed. all sorts of thoughts were running through my mind...mainly that this was going to be our absolute last conversation. but he continued on and my already short answers were transformed into a simple okay. no matter what it was all i could say was okay. after he was done talking. i told a couple of friends about it & we laughed. i really did think it was funny. it wasnt until today that i realized how much it had hurt me.

i can think of one person who'll read this & think it's about him, but no your not that important. & he'll probably read this & not even think twice. thats just how BIG of an insensitive prick he is.

sry i'm a little late
i thought i was gonna get to post the day of
but i was just waaaaayyy too tired when i got

so i went to pick him up from the airport, but he wasn't where he was supposed to meet me at. i just figured that he was probably still trying to get his luggage and what not. 30 minutes go by and still no sign of him. i try to call his cell no answer..i txt him no reply
i wait another 5 mins & i try calling again this time his phone is going straight to voicemail
as if he turned it off ..which means he had to see my call ..right?!?

now i'm pissed
i drove 1hr & 20mins in my truck! which means gas ..gas...gas!!
& the guy isnt here ...no bueno

so 10mins later he comes walking out looking so perfect that i can't even be mad anymore, but of course i was still going to play the role...lol

he tells me about the trouble that he had getting his luggage & that he had no service in the airport & then hands me this single red rose & gives me a hug. by now i'm pretty much stuck in the moment & any ill feelings had before were squeezed out of me with this hug.

somehow what was supposed to be just a simple breakfast date turned into an all day venture.
it amazes me how he was able to peel off the first layer of Aimee in just one day ..some men never get it. this had to be one of the best dates EVER. & even though neither one of us wants to take things any further this was just what i needed. its good to know that there are still some thoughtful men out there. chivalry isn't dead!

plus i got reimbursed for the gas, so that was just like icing on the cake! lol

so yesterday i was out at the mall with my bestfriend

& i saw this guy who i went out on a date with along time ago
but i didn't notice him until he approached me his name mike

so let me start from the beginning

me and the bestfriend walking arm & arm and i see a group of guys standing in front of the jewelry store...i didnt think much of it other than please don't let them say anything to me ...so we walk by and he says something to his friend about one of us
something to the effect of "thats the girl that..."

i didnt hear the rest but im assuming he was talking about me & said something about us going out or something like that

so we keep walking and out the corner of my eye i see him starting to follow behind us and he says "aye aye" of course i dont respond to that sort of thing so i keep walking

we stop into a store and he walks in and is like "how are you young ladies doing this afternoon" my bestfriend responds "fine" he looks at me and asks me if i remember him & thats when i realized who he was so i just replied yes

he asks me if i want to make some money ...i say no........hes like not even $1000

i get pissed off and walk away
how rude do i look like some kinda prostitue like what the heck?!?!?

now i know you may be thinking how do i know it was that & i may just be blowing things way outta proportion

well the whole reason our date didnt work out was because we went to his friends bbq
& he and i were talking in this little room and all his friends start to come in and he leaves out..i guess he and his friends usually bring over girls and they all have sex with them ...but im not that kinda girl so i guess you can call me a party pooper
